The Division of Violence Prevention’s Etiology and Surveillance Branch has scheduled the National Violent Death Reporting System (NVDRS) cooperative agreement (PA numbers  07704,  08802, and 09904) grantees Reverse Site Visit for May 11-13, 2010. 

This meeting will provide grantees with an opportunity to share progress made towards the implementation and growth of NVDRS.     

Registration fee: $65.00  Registration opens on Monday, February 8, 2010 and closes on Friday, April 30, 2010.

Please plan to attend the entire Reverse Site Visit.The Principal Investigator and/or the project manager or designee are expected to attend the Reverse Site Visit, while staff assigned to abstract and input data are strongly encouraged to attend.  Attendance at the Reverse Site Visit is a requirement of the cooperative agreement as stated in program announcements 07704,  08802, and 09904.  Business casual attire is suggested.

The 2010 CDC NVDRS Reverse Site Visit will take place at the Embassy Suites Buckhead.  Guests of the Embassy Suites Atlanta - Buckhead stay in newly renovated spacious, two-room suites and receive a complimentary cooked to order breakfast and evening Manager's Reception.

Hotel registration closes on Wednesday April 21, 2010.

Transportation

Airports:  Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport

Ground Transportation:  The hotel is 18 miles from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.  Daily onsite self parking is available for meeting attendees at the $10 negotiated rate.  It is recommended that you take Atlanta’s rapid transportation system, MARTA, from the airport. The Buckhead MARTA station is just two blocks north of the hotel (http://itsmarta.com/). Fares range from $2.00-$2.50/one way or $4.00-$4.50 round trip.
