Preparing for Core Funding #3: Epidemiology and Surveillance Capacity



This webinar will provide an overview of resources from Safe States and the Epidemiology SIG, discuss the required indicator reports for Core grantees, provide insight on the experiences associated with setting up data systems in states (e.g., ED, Hospital, Deaths), and share models of staffing epidemiology positions in state health departments.


Learning objectives of webinar:

1. Learn about resources for gaining skills and information for injury epidemiology work and how to access them.

2. Learn about reporting requirements for CDC Core Grantees.

3. Gain insight into creative ways to gather needed data to meet reporting requirements for CDC Core Grantees.

4. Understand models for staffing epidemiology and surveillance programs.
