2017 President's Challenge Expert Series:
The State of Substance Misuse and Addictions
Session #1: Tertiary Prevention
April 13, 2017
2 p.m. - 3 p.m. ET
This webinar is the first in a three-part series hosted by ASTHO.
ASTHO will convene key leaders and national experts in a series of virtual meetings to explore evidenced-based strategies, policy challenges, and new opportunities related to preventing substance misuse and addiction.
This series gives state and territorial health officials the chance to learn about approaches to preventing substance misuse and have their questions answered in real-time using the shared knowledge and expertise of the panel.
ASTHO's 2017 President's Challenge uses a primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention framework. Each session will focus on a different level of prevention and experts in the field will offer recommendations on interventions to target specific risk and protective factors and address the social determinants of substance misuse.
