Injury Framing Collaborative Space
The Injury Framing Collaborative Space is an online community designed to build capacity to implement the CDC Injury Framing Initiative, Adding Power to Our Voices.
The goal of the Injury Framing Initiative is to encourage the adoption and integration of a coordinated message strategy based on the overarching injury message frame: “We want a society where people can live to their full potential.” This coordinated message strategy can help injury and violence prevention professionals achieve a unified voice, increase understanding of injury and violence as important public health problems, and ultimately influence the social and political will to lessen the burden of injury.
The Injury Framing Collaborative Space is designed to facilitate the sharing of information and networking. Through this space, members can connect with one another to share ideas, knowledge, experiences, and resources related to framing. The space consists of several key sections including:
- Community Blog: This section provides members with the opportunity to engage in ongoing discussions related to a variety of framing topics.
- In the News: This section provides members with the latest news on framing activities and resources, including trainings and meetings.
- Resource Center: This section serves as an online library of framing resources, information, and tools that have been created, submitted, and utilized by the CDC Injury Center and members of the collaborative space. The Adding Power to Our Voices Framing Guide and other supporting resources can be accessed in the Resource Center.
- Directory: The Directory provides a listing of members making it easy to contact and network with other individuals in the injury and violence prevention and response field.
