The Injury Coalition
The Injury Coaltion was founded in 2002 by the Safe States Alliance (Safe States Alliance) and the Society for the Advancement of Violence and Injury Research (SAVIR). The mission of the Injury Coalition is to support high quality research and public health programs to reduce the burden of injuries. The Injury Coalition promotes increased funding for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to strengthen existing partnerships between state and local health agencies, connect needs and resources among injury professionals, enhance education and faculty development, and support multidisciplinary injury control research.
