Pedestrian/Bicycle Safety & SRTS Online Library

Bicycle Safety

The following section provides a broad cross-section of resources and documents focused on bicycle safety activities.  The resources include guidelines, reports, toolkits, and public service announcements relevant to the design, implementation, and evaluation of bicycle-friendly activities and infrastructure.  Public health programmers and pedestrian/bicycle safety advocates will find these resources especially useful. Many of the bicycle safety proposed activities found in the Online Resources Library recommend a collaborative approach; therefore, we highly encourage public health professionals to share these resources, especially those related to engineering activities, with their local or state transportation planners and/or departments.
