Pedestrian/Bicycle Safety & SRTS Online Library

Pedestrian Safety

The following section provides a broad cross-section of resources and documents focused on pedestrians and pedestrian-related activities.  The resources include guidelines, reports, toolkits, and public service announcements relevant to the design, implementation, and evaluation of pedestrian-friendly activities and infrastructure.  Public health programmers and pedestrian safety advocates will find these resources especially useful. Many of the pedestrian safety proposed activities found in the Online Resources Library recommend a collaborative approach; therefore, we highly encourage public health professionals to share these resources, especially those related to engineering activities, with their local or state transportation planners and/or departments.
