Call for "Quick Shot" Presentations

The 5th annual Injury Prevention Professionals Symposium is being held April 28-30, 2019, at the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Symposium is a pre-conference workshop at the annual Trauma Centers Association of America (TCAA) conference and was developed by the Trauma Prevention Coalition (TPC). Over the past five years hospital based Injury and Violence Prevention (IVP) Professionals from throughout the nation have joined together for this interactive event emphasizing professional development, focused education, and peer networking. As part of this event we are inviting up to eight “Quick Shot” podium presentations that showcase a successful IVP initiative at your hospital. Examples from last year (2018) include:


·        Stop the Bleed

·        Prevention of Hot Car Heat Stroke

·        Senior Fall Prevention

·        Hospital-Based Violence Intervention Program 

·        Distracted Driving Prevention 

·        Childhood Drowning Prevention


Please consider sharing your work with other IVP professionals! Submissions are due by February 15, 2019. Please complete the enclosed form and return to Presenters that have been accepted for a “Quick Shot” will be notified on or before March 1, 2019.


Members of the TPC’s subcommittee responsible for the development of the Symposium will review submissions and make the final selection.
