2020 Annual Conference Moderators

We are in the process of identifying moderators for the 2020 Virtual Conference.


Session moderators will play an important role in the success of our virtual conference. Moderators provide a warm welcome to the session, link the content being presented, keep speakers on schedule during the recording process and help facilitate Q/As through the chat box feature when recorded sessions air live September 9-11.


Moderators will work with presenters and Safe States staff to ensure that PowerPoint slides are finalized and available prior to the scheduled recording of the presentation. Safe States staff will be available during both the recording and airing of the presentations to support technology needs.


Please note:

  • Persons selected to moderate are expected to register for the Virtual Conference.
  • Persons selected to moderate are expected to attend the session they are assigned to moderate. 
  • Additional information and details about the moderator process will be provided to volunteers once they notify Safe States of their interest in serving.
