2020 Annual Conference
Share |

COVID-19 UPDATE - May 1, 2020:

After much consideration and out of an abundance of caution, the Safe States staff, Executive Committee and Annual Conference Planning Committee have decided the best and most prudent action is to transition the Safe States 2020 Injury and Violence Prevention Conference to an all virtual conference. Making this decision sooner rather than later allows us to adequately plan to offer an engaging and interactive experience for participants, while affording you the opportunity to plan your budget and schedules accordingly.

The AC Planning Committee and staff will be working over the next several weeks to revise our meeting format and timeline. Please note that we will be revisiting abstract submissions and anticipate re-opening the process given this shift to a virtual format. Additionally, registration dates and costs will be adjusted for maximum flexibility.

While there is no substitute for the value of face-to-face interaction, we believe this decision is best for the health and safety of our community. Please stay tuned for details as we shift to the virtual format.

Continuing Education

The Safe States Alliance is a designated provider of entry-level continuing education contact hours (CECH) in health education by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. We will be offering CHES and CPH credits during the main Annual Conference, and will provide the actual number for credits in spring 2020.

Again this year, Safe States Alliance is offering Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) credits through a partnership with JPS Health Network. There are 11 sessions offering 1.25 CNE contact hours each for a maximum total of five contact hours available.
