On-Boarding Resources

On-Boarding Resources

On-boarding new employees to their work in injury and violence prevention is important to both the employee and the employer. Having tools and resources to introduce and assist new employees to their work in IVP is essential for program success.

The State Designated Representative Special Interest Group (SDR SIG) has also compiled resources that their members have used in on-boarding new employees. These are listed below. This is not an exhaustive list and more resources may be identified and added in the future. If you have a document or resource to share please send to info@safestates.org.

Peer buddy guidelines - a Word document providing guidelines for employees to be an "office peer buddy" and assist new employees with on-boarding.

On-boarding planning tool - a Word document outlining the roles of management and staff in on-boarding new employees over a one year time period.
